Before implementation, we aim to make the first release boundary, users, core journey, external dependencies, data responsibilities, acceptance criteria, and known unknowns understandable. Estimates are tied to those assumptions so they can be revised honestly when evidence changes.
If a request is not ready to estimate, the proposal may recommend a smaller discovery or technical-validation step instead of pretending uncertainty does not exist.
A release is not complete merely because its main screen works. Depending on scope, handover includes source access, environment setup, deployment and rollback notes, database changes, operational checks, known limitations, and ownership of third-party accounts.
